In addition to producing delicious Rhone reds, Chateau de Montfaucon releases a limited amount of a stunning Côtes du Rhône blanc that sells out every year. This top cuvee is named in honor of winemaker and owner Rodolphe de Pins grandmother, who managed the estate for over 60 years and was a huge force in the development of the estate. Marsanne, Viognier, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Picpoul are picked by hand in 20 kg cases and pressed directly. After the juice has settled naturally for ten to twenty hours, it is racked into oak barrels where the wine ferments naturally without temperature control. The wine ages eight months in barrels before bottling. Enjoy this elegant white on its own or with grilled snapper, roast chicken or layererd vegetable gratin. 13% abv.
