Years ago we did a lot of business with this producer. Their wines are outstanding and yet somehow we lost touch and moved on to other great German wines. Recently we were offered this outstanding deal and jumped at the chance to work with our old friends. This is a flattering and delicate version of Spätlese, and an unbelievable deal. Loads of creamy citrus fruit and black currant envelop the entire wine, front to back. The backing acidity is juicy and round on the finish, but adds plenty of backbone while melding into the rich clean texture that this site is known for. (Eric Story, German wine buyer)
