According to the Wine Spectator: "Lots of blackberry aromas, with hints of cola. Medium-bodied, with a good core of tannins and a medium finish. Very well-done. Best after 2008." (Web only, 2007) 87-90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/Jun 05: "Medium ruby. Superripe aromas of black raspberry, leather and smoke. Sweet, fat, broad and serious; big and mouthfilling. Chocolatey-rich and full of fresh fruit. Finishes with big, sweet tannins and building length. Reportedly from a yield of just 31 hectoliters per hectare, and partly fermented in barrels. Production of this consistent outperformer is now up to 20,000 cases."
