This wine is produced from the traditional, shrub-type Cannonau growing in the Ogliastra and Oliena regions. Over the past few years, with the introduction of more modern production techniques and a greater awareness of the importance of the various phases of vinification, Cannonau has revealed its true potential. This one is intense ruby red in color, with an all-enveloping, persistent perfume and a spicy, full-bodied finish. Excellent when served with grilled red meats, game and well matured, strong flavored cheeses. It ages well over a number of years.
