92-95 points Stephen Tanzer: "Palish green-yellow. Crushed stone, lemon-lime, hazelnut and a whiff of leesy complexity on the explosive nose. Boasts terrific density and sucrosite but with excellent acid backbone and firm minerality providing lift and shape. Best today on the long finish, which features palate-staining red grapefruit and crushed stone flavors. These 50-year-old vines are planted in deep soil, but there's a lot of minerality in the subsoil, notes Hervet. Offers superb potential, but the 2008 may be even better." (Sept/Oct 2010)
