This wonderful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc was sourced from super high quality sites in the Coombsville section of Napa Valley, just east of downtown Napa. It is deeply colored, deliciously textured and features black and blue berry fruits and firm tannins. From Robert Parker: "The intriguing 2008 Headwaters Proprietary Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Its dense ruby/purple hue is followed by attractive notes of red currants, licorice and spice. Medium to full-bodied with supple tannins as well as lots of personality and character, this serious red can be consumed over the next 7-8 years." (Dec. 2010) And according to Wine Spectator: "Marked by complex dried dark berry fruit, this shows cedar, sandalwood, mineral and dried herb character. Full-bodied and elegant, making it easy to enjoy now. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2018." (05/11)
