Weighty citrus and orchard fruit flavors are braced by tangy minerals and spices and gain sweetness with air. With its finishing cut and lingering spiciness, this reminds me of an unoaked white Bordeaux." "This wine was made by Dan Pannell whose parents founded Mosswood, one of Margaret River's pioneer estates, before they moved on to start Picardy in Pemberton. We sold over 3,000 bottles of the 2007 Slipstream, and I think this vintage is even better. The bouquet offers notes of honeysuckle, fig, lime pith, melon, lemon curd and white flowers. On the palate the wine has a creamy lanolin texture that is supported by tangy acidity that leads to a long, clean, fresh finish. This is perfect as an apertif or with any seafood or poultry dish.
