A terrific Cabernet you want to cellar for a good 5-6 years, at the very least, and could go far longer. Shows what Yountville can do in a good year. The wine is very dry and more minerally than further north, yet is extraordinarily rich in blackberries, chocolate-covered cherries and cassis, with a perfumed scent of violets. The mouthfeel is all velvet and satin--so pretty and refined. (10/ 2010)
Serves up a delightful mix of ripe dark fruits, with blackberry, black cherry and plum flavors that are supple and polished, with mineral, graphite and cedary oak showing on the finish. The tannins add traction to the flavors. Drink now through 2020. (8/ 2011)
