Buffalo Trace K&L Exclusive Single Cask #21 Lot 1505 Kentucky Straight Bourbon 750ml

SKU #1057003

Buffalo Trace is one of the countries finest and most innovative distilleries. Their flagship brand "Buffalo Trace," represents one of the finest values of any of the American whiskey. K&L was lucky enough to be a part of their single barrel program, which allows us to select our favorite cask from about 30 different samples. While it is an amazing experience it is also a daunting task, which requires self confidence and expertise. After tasting through these samples David & I, came to a consensus on our favorite - Cask #21. This was an awesomely rich sample, both texturally and in terms of flavor. To our surprise when the cask was bottled it yeilded a mere 11 cases, about 1/3 of what we were expecting. That means this barrel contained bourbon that had been highly concentrated and was there for richer in texture and flavor than the typical Buffalo Trace blend. Needless to say this is a very special bottle that should not be missed. -David Girard

Yes please! This is officially becoming the house whiskey at the Smith household. In fact, a case may be in order. Brilliantly smooth, warmed almonds, chocolate, and toffee mingle for minutes on the palate. Before it hit the shelves I made a Mint Julep, and started dreaming about the Manhattans and Old Fashioneds in my very near future. But for right now, I am perfectly content having a double, neat.

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
