 A reserve style of Port, with a fine perfumed character, with damson skins and stalky black berries. The style is soft, not noticeably sweet, with a definite dry center. It suffers from a bitter sweetness.  (8/ 2010)

Wine Spectator

 Shows beautiful aromas of sliced plum and peach, with raspberry jam. Medium-bodied and lightly sweet, with fine tannins and a fruity finish. Refined and pretty. This is a new Port from Noval that is supposed to attract new consumers and please old ones. Might work.  (5/ 2010)

This is a revolutionary new port from one of the world's legendary estates. Thanks to 15 years of work at the estate replanting and rebuilding, the quality of fruit across the estate is unprecedented. This fruit is now the foundation for the Vintage Ports and, in other years, for Black. For this unique Port, all grapes harvested are crushed by foot in granite lagares and crushing is done in small lots for better control and to pinpoint quality. Best value for Port from famous producer. Fantastic all around. Red fruit, chocolate, chinese plum nose and palate. Great mouth feel. Deep rich color that swirls nicely with never ending pleasing aromas. Long satisfying finish. Better the next night if you can imagine that. I like the bottle design too. Great gift for your friends as it has mass appeal. Must have for port lovers, poets and writers. Fresh, no hassle to serve, I would try it in cocktails, dessert recipes - I think it would be quite versatile. Not your grandpa's port for sure. Highly recommended.
