Wine Enthusiast
Soft wine, the Merlot in the blend giving a round character to the texture. It is juicy, fruity, a gentle, mellow wine that seduces by its delicious ripe berry fruits. Its aging potential is there in the band of Cabernet tannins, but it's not a longer-term wine.

Pichon Lalande's 2007 is a seductive, dark ruby/plum-tinged wine displaying sweet cocoa, white chocolate, black currant, and foresty notes, medium body, a velvety texture, and a delicious style. The final blend is 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Drink it over the next decade.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Bright ruby-red. Enticing aromas of plum, dark cherry, bitter chocolate, licorice, coffee and sexy smoky oak. Then juicy but a bit lean in the mouth, with good energy but modest texture to its dark berry and licorice flavors. Boasts good energy and precision but today the wine's tannins overwhelm the fruit and the finish shows a slightly tart quality. Will this expand with bottle aging? 89(+?)?

Savoury meatiness on the nose. Then more cedary freshness on the palate, fine tannins, still quite firm. Scented leafy cassis on the mid palate, not a huge amount of flesh, a bit oaky on the finish but quite flattering

Wine Spectator
Tresh and fruity, offering berry and floral aromas that follow through to a medium-to-full body, with slightly chewy tannins that are polished and attractive.

K&L Notes
Tasted at the property. Sweet and seductive. Feels good on the palate with lots of red berry flavors and quite long on the palate. Hubert de Bouard is consulting here. 58% cabernet, which is a bit high.
