90 points Robert Parker: "An extremely complex bouquet..." 91 points Wine Enthusiast: "A dense wine, very much in the line of powerful wines from Haut-Bailly. Flavors of bitter chocolate, sweet berry fruits and richness are dominant, the acidity a fine balancing act to give a burst of freshness." (04/10) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Shows complex aromas of dark fruits, with bitter chocolate and floral notes. Full-bodied, with silky tannins. Very well-integrated and long. Builds on the palate. Best after 2013." (03/10) 89 points Stephen Tanzer: "Good deep ruby-red. Primary, high-pitched aromas of crushed berries and spices, with a whiff of artificial flowers. Juicy, pure and intense, with lovely cut to the raspberry and spice flavors. Finishes with good length and lift and a lightly herbal character." (Jul/Aug 10) K&L's notes - Good entry...sweet middle. Aristocratic. Very good. At the UGC the wine was full and ripe. Big wine on palate and sweet mid-palate impression. Tannic finish. At the property the wine exhibited a deep purplish color and fine red berry aromas and flavor. On the bigger side. 50 hectoliters per hectare here which is normal. 70% cabernet and 26% merlot with the rest cab franc.
