90 points Wine Spectator: "The Malbec added just the right touch of richness, spice and complexity to give the dinner another dimension. I rated it 90 points, non-blind, and drank another glass the next day for lunch with a slice of leftover lasgana. It held up nicely." (12/09) And, according to Stephen Tanzer: "Bright, dark ruby-red. Subdued but very ripe aromas of blackberry, cassis and licorice, with complicating suggestions of chocolate, herbs, shoe polish and leather. Rather suave on entry, then ripe and smooth in the middle, with a subtler sweetness than the chunkier 2008 Alamos cabernet. The very fine, broad tannins dust the palate and teeth. This refreshing malbec is very easy to drink." (Jan/Feb '10) I was impressed by the fresh quality of this Malbec: bright red plum flavors show good acidity, balance and lots of authentic Malbec character.
