90 points Robert Parker: "The 2006 Tradition exhibits a dense ruby/purple hue as well as a luscious perfume of blackberries, cherries, earth, pepper, and garrigue. A classic for the region, it is a rich, full-bodied, pure wine to consume over the next 4-5 years. One of the reference point estates in the southern Côtes du Rhône, Domaine de Mourchon is situated in the charmingly beautiful Provencal hill top village of Seguret. This is a tour de force in winemaking from the Côtes du Rhône-Villages of Seguret. Kudos to Domaine de Mourchon! These splendid cuvees are all worth buying by the caseload." (02/209) According to Wine Spectator: "Dark and juicy, with a core of plum, currant and blackberry fruit layered with notes of bittersweet cocoa, fruitcake and hoisin sauce. There's also a nice bit of briary grip on the finish. Fresher and purer than the Family Reserve." (09/08) And, according to Wine Enthusiast:: "Mourchon’s vineyards are high above the plain, which gives them a unique crisp, spicy character that’s on full display in this 2006. Cranberry and cherry fruit is marked by peppery notes and some slightly hard tannins on the finish. Drink now with beef or lamb." (12/09)
