Dark in color, with lots of blackberry, mineral, licorice and a hint of toasty oak. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, caressing finish. Balanced and generous, with lots of fruit underneath. Best after 2011. (3/ 2008)
A consistently well-made cru bourgeois, this wine exhibits a deep ruby color and a nice, earthy nose with hints of burning embers intermixed with black fruits, herbs, and spice. The wine displays moderate tannin, medium body, good length and ripeness. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. (8/ 2008)
According to Decanter: "Deep colour, good meaty wine, well-extracted, good potential. Drink 2010-18."
