At first it comes off as a bigger style of Spatlese but then the intensity of its true being reveals itself with yellow stone fruit, hints of cassis, raspberry and lime, crushed iron and a touch of almond paste on the finish. A real showcase of what happens in this very unique terroir! According to Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale golden yellow. Ripe aromas of yellow plum, cherry and acacia blossom. Supple, fresh and enticing, with subdued candied pineapple fruit complemented by a touch of honey. Perhaps not stunning, but a very nice wine to quaff on a summer afternoon on the patio."
