Shows hints of maturity, with chocolate mint, cherry and currant flavors that are intense yet elegant, balanced and stylish. Full-bodied, firm and focused, this is complex and concentrated without being heavy, offering the wine's classic style and personality. Drink now through 2018. (10/ 2009)
A legend in Napa Valley Cabernet, Martha's Vineyard in the Valley's Oakville appellation is now certified organic by CCOF. Heralded as a classic, the 2004 shows pure "Martha's" Cabernet varietal blackberry and black cherry aromas and flavors along with the iconic wine's tell-tale minty note. Three and a half years of aging in oak lends complexity and depth, with vanilla and oak spice complementing the rich, dark fruits and firm tannins. Elegant and poised, the 2004 is drinking well now with at least a decade of drinking pleasure ahead of it.
