2013 Avery Brewing Company "Samael's" Oak Aged Ale, Colorado 12oz

SKU #1051790

Boulder's Avery Brewing Company crafts some truly exceptional beers, and K&L carries as many as we can get. The Samael's Oak-Aged Ale is quite distinctive - made in a English-style strong ale style - it's carmelly and malty with a heady vanilla note and a subtle bitterness to keep the beer's naturaly sweetness from becoming cloying.

The ale is very sweet, with pronounced caramel and strong cask oak flavors unfolding with each sip. Vanilla notes, some alcohol heat, an almost cherry flavor from the malt and the sugar and the wonderful oak nuances add up to an intense and dessert like ale.

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
