Boulder's Avery Brewing Company crafts some truly exceptional beers, and K&L carries as many as we can get. The Beast is a Belgian Grand Cru style brew with an apt name. At 14.9% ABV it's a VERY serious beer, seductive, complicated, dark and age-worthy. It has aromas of honeyed orange, pineapple and spice and tastes like a mouthful of dates, plums and raisins in molasses, all without becoming too sweet. This is the wine of beers, and while enjoyable now, promises to evolve in bottle over the next decade or more!
