91 points Allen Meadows' Burghound: "An atypical nose for this appellation features notes of straw, melon and white flower serves as the preface for very fresh and bright flavors that possess the best vibrancy and punch of any wine to this point while culminating in a classy, refined and pure citrus-infused finish. The nose is certainly atypical but the overall impression is a ripe wine of style and grace. Worth a look." StephenTanzer writes: "Superripe peach and orange aromas are complicated by dried fruits and hazelnut; more typical of the Matrot style the previous samples. Then fruity and solidly built, with orange and apricot flavors offering good density but a lighter touch than most of the other '06s here. Very ripe and not exactly elegant but with good structure-and more restrained alcohol and better balance for aging than most of the other Matrot '06s."
