94-96 points Robert Parker: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (1,500 cases) is made in a different style than the 2006, but it is just as provocative and compelling in quality. The sweetness of its tannins sets it apart from other vintages, but it exhibits a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary bouquet of incense, blackberries, cedar, licorice, and a hint of charcoal. It possesses remarkable full-bodied power and concentration along with stunning purity, equilibrium, and a finish that elicits a big smile. This fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon is built along the lines of Togni’s 1991, 1992, 1994, and 1997. By Togni’s standards, it will be drinkable at a young age, 4-5 years, and keep for 30+ years." (12/08) 91-94 points Stephen Tanzer: "Deep ruby. Inky blackberry and dark chocolate on the nose. Lush, sweet and primary, with ripe briary berry and dark chocolate flavors complicated by a smoky nuance; became even more plush with aeration, showing an enticing boysenberry flavor. Finishes very long and sweet. Philip Togni had a big crop in 2007 and thinned the fruit extensively, ultimately harvesting in early October, just before a day of heavy rain on Spring Mountain. The 2007 blend includes 20% press wine." (May/June '09) ETA: November 15, 2009.
