2007 Guímaro "B2M" Mencía Ribeira Sacra

SKU #1050401

We recently lucked across a small quantity of this wine, discovered in importer José Pastor's warehouse. As 2007 was a good vintage, and now has 5+ years of bottle age, now is an opportunie time to check in on this bottling from benchmark Ribeira Sacra producer Pedro Rodriguez. Produced from the estate's Finca Mexieman plot, located mid slope amidst the precariously steep slopes of Ribera Sacra, this wine has similar growing conditions and style to a northern Rhone red - think good Crozes Hermitage.

Big, rich, and powerful, with great minerality, blueberries and thyme.
