This Pernand Vergelesses comes from a vineyard just a stone's throw from Corton Charlemagne, and delivers a similar mineral-driven, focused character. It sees less than 10% new oak and no lees stirring, to preserve its freshness and character. (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer). Allen Meadows writes: "This also displays mild oak toast on the otherwise pure and refined white flower, green fruit and subtly spiced nose that is in perfect keeping with the racy, pure and intense mineral-infused flavors that are not particularly complex but there is good energy and persistence on the mostly fruit-driven finish."
