90 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Graciano spent 14 months in a mix of new and used French oak. It is dark ruby/purple-colored with an expressive nose of balsamic, pepper, spice box, cedar, and black cherry. Forward, full-flavored, and layered, it is meant for near-term gratification. It should provide pleasure over the next 6-8 years." 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby. Powerfully aromatic bouquet combines blackberry, cassis, smoky minerals and vanilla. Supple dark berry flavors display good depth and clarity, picking up minerals and dusty tannins with air. Finishes with impressive energy and persistence." (Jul/Aug '08) At Heretat de Taverners there are records of grape and wine production since 1738. Not unexpectedly, this 100% Graciano-based red is from very old vines, and you know what that means: depth, concentration and lots of flavor.
