This is the first time for this wine to come to the United States and to our shelfs. Made with the classic blend of Bordeaux varietals, the wine is comprised of 54% cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec and 4% Petite Verdot. This wine reminds me of "old school" Napa Cabernet with dusty tannins cloaking a core of black cherry, violets, cedar and a hint of flat cola. There is fine balance and length to this fine offering from South Africa that carries a five-star rating from The Platter Guide, which is the top source in South Africa for ranking wines and wineries. Jim Chanteloup K&L South African Wine Buyer. 91 points The Wine Enthusiast: "This evolving Bordeaux blend offers beautiful aromas of blackberry, anise and spice, followed by a full, complex mouth of tobacco, cedar, black fruit and spice. Lingering finish. Pair with grilled lamb, or a beef filet."
