2007 Les Roches Touraine Rouge (Previously $10)

SKU #1049395

This is a blend made up of Gamay, Cab Franc and Côt. It's really juicy with integrated earthy spice. A lighter style of red with round, soft tannins and bright acidity on the finish. Fantastic with a slight chill on it.

For those of you searching for a wine that would be much more reasonable than a declassified Bourgogne, you must try, and in quantity, the Les Roches 2007 Touraine Rouge from the Loire Valley. This wine is a blend of Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Cot (the local name for Malbec), and it offers impeccable balance and structure, provides bright tones of dried rose petals, silky tannins, and a finish that is clean and pretty. Do not let the price scare you from trying with wonderful Gem. Anderson has informed me that this will be our house red wine for however long it lasts.

I know we are not in the middle of Summer now... But sometimes I feel like a light red now and again. After all, a symphony is certainly not made with just one note! This is indeed a light, fruitier wine, with lots red berries flavors and a touch of coffee. Very nice with lighter fare, grilled salmon, quiches, sandwiches etc.

Beautifully balanced and lovely. Soft, smooth and delicious but not without complexity. An excellent alternative to Pinot Noir.

This is a wonderful wine if you are in the mood for something light- to medium-bodied. The Les Roches is a blend of Gamay, Cab Franc and Malbec and is delicious with nice red fruit aromas and flavors. The fruit is balanced out with nice crisp acidity and a slight hint of minerals. The Les Roches will go great with fowl and vegetables.
