92 points from Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby. Almost exaggerated aromas of creme de framboise, wild strawberry, blackberry, fresh violet and rose. Fleshy and silky, in an almost pinot way, with striking purity of red berry and candied cherry fruit. The finish is supple, sweet and deep, with mineral tones adding even more verve to this graceful beauty." (July/Aug '06) From one of the boutique, cult wine producers, the Bindi "Bundaleer" offers an elegant expression of Australian Shiraz. Coming in at 13.5 ABV the bouquet has notes of raspberry, plum, white pepper, earth and a hint of that Heathcote ferrous/iron component. On the palate there are soft refined tannins with good acidity and a kiss of mocha that leads to a long juicy finish. A great wine, and a greater bargain.
