93 points and Editors' choice, Wine Enthusiast: "Tolosa's Edna Ranch Chardonnay is rich and crisp, always exhibiting exciting flavors of limes, kiwis and pineapples. Add oak barrels, and complex layers appear, of peaches and cream, vanilla fudge and buttered toast. All that, and the wine is entirely dry." (06/09) According to Wine Spectator: "A fragrant, delicate, medium-weight style, with green apple, spice and citrus riding a silky texture. Drink now through 2010" (07/09) This a winery that I have been a fan of for several years now because they produce high quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Central Coast at competitive prices. Great anytime but especially in this slow economy. The 2006 Chardonnay is rich yet balanced with acidity and structure. Citrus, pineapple and apple with just a hint of butter and toasty oak. This is a couple steps up from a normal $16.99 Chardonnay. (Mike Jordan, K&L Wine Merchants)
