Urbanite Cellars "Redart" Red Blend

A great party wine- the blenders at urbanite always manage to craft a fresh and rich party red with lots of strawberry and cassis flavors.

Strawberries, boysenberry, blackberry and pomegranate juice aromas and flavors; soft tannins and some spice; clean finish; Cab gives this a nice backbone, fullness from the syrah and spice from the Zin. What is not to like? A real crowd-pleaser.

This is such a pleasant everyday red. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah and 20% Zinfandel. Unbeatable quality for such a solid wine.

This is a great everyday red. The right balance of fruit, spice and acidity. This is a wine that everyone can enjoy.

I tend to shy away from those over-the-top, high alcohol, heavily oaked domestic wines, regardless of how many points they are awarded. And that's why I enjoyed this blend. A little lighter and fruitier than their straight Cab, but DELICIOUS nonetheless! It drinks very well with food or simply by itself upon arriving home from work.

For all those who are looking for an easy drinking table red that won't break the bank, no need to look any further. Done in the same style as the Amplio cab from the same producer, the RedArt has plenty of bright red currant and blackberry fruit, with a nice hint of spice that sets this $10 Cab-based apart from the rest.

The Redart is a balanced blend of Cab Syrah and Zin that makes a fantastic everyday drinker. The cabernet provides a solid core of structure and fruit that sets a stage for the Syrah and Zin to add complexity and depth. Great wine for weekday dinners.

An excellent blend of cabernet sauvignon, syrah and zinfandel. Fresh, deep red fruit with a nice depth of spice and balanced acidity. So inexpensive that it affordable enough for everyday. Perfect with everything from pizza to barbecue!

In this blend there's 40% Cabernet Sauvignon for structure and depth, 30% Syrah, for spice and complexity, 20% Zinfandel for berry fruit flavors, and 10% "Other" reds grapes that were chosen for their juicy, fruity flavor components and richness on the palate. Ripe blackberry and red currant flavors and spicy accents on the palate lend a very smooth and velvety mouthfeel and finish. The advantage of a multi-vintage wine is that it allows the winemaker the most freedom to select the best flavor components across vintages. This one marries ripe, young intense fruit flavors with more mellow, complex ones.

One of the the things I love about Luis Moya is that he gives all the wines in his portfolio 100 points - after all, unless you believe 100% in a wine, how do you justify selling it to others? And I am so happy he has taken his passion and applied it to a locally grown and produced red table wine under the Unrbanite Cellars label that has 100 points in my book. A well-made everyday drinker with loads of personality for under $10 is hard to find. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and a core of black fruit, the Syrah adds smokiness and a touch of gamey mystique, and the Zin lends spice, brightness, and punch. This is an ideal party wine, and would work very well as a wedding or large dinner reception red option because it is very food friendly and sure to please a crowd.

Big juicy blackberry fruit up front on a creamy vanilla backbone. Seems like it may go over the top but a solid dose of acidity kicks in to help maintain the balance and manage the plush, rich fruit. A smooth and pleasing full flavored wine with a warm, toasty finish showing hints of barrel spice that linger on nicely for some time. Nice depth/complexity for the price point!

Wonderful. A great wine at a great price. I'd serve this anywhere. Full, lush, great flavor, long enough to be interesting, and very Rhone-esque. I'll be buying more.
