2005 Vinas del Cenit "Venta Mazzaron" VdT de Zamora

SKU #1048472

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Venta Mazzaron is one of the finest values in Spanish wine. Made from 100% Tinta de Toro, it offers up a smoky, complex bouquet with notes of mineral and blackberry. Ripe, sweet, forward, and altogether pleasurable, it can be enjoyed over the next 6-8 years." (02/08) And, according to Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby. Straightforward raspberry and blueberry preserve aromas are deepened by chocolate and espresso. Fleshy dark fruit flavors are smooth and round, finishing with very good depth and length." (Sept/Oct 07)

Medium bodied with a bit of oak, smooth with a hint of sweetness and flavor of berries and chocolate. Very nice for the price point.
