Quinta de Cabriz, an estate near Carregal do Sal, with a magnificent house and 17th Century chapel is, nowadays, one of the main promoters of regional development, raising old vines and new plantings with modern viticultural techniques. This light and charming white is a blend of Malvasia Fina, Cerceal, and the local Bical and Encruzado, half of which was fermented in the classic way in stainless steel, and the rest in French oak barrels, using considerable batonnage. A delicious partner to seafood salads, this is thirst-quenching, though far from simple.
