94-97 points Wine Spectator: "A classic baby Vintage Port nose of blackberry, currant and a little bit of green lemon leaf. Full-bodied and medium sweet. There's a solid core of ripe fruit and powerful tannins, with grip. The real deal." (Tatsing Highlight, May 6, 2009) The 2007 harvest was exceptional at Taylor Fladgate, and the near-flawless growing conditions comes through in this lovely vintage Port. It's purple color is so concentrated it borders on black. Already expressive on the nose, depsite its youth, its nose marries floral aromas with briar fruit and tangy black currants. On the palate, it has the tightly-knit tannins characterisitc of Taylor Fladgate and a great indication of the potential longevity of this vibrant, focused, racy Port. ETA: Early Sept 2009.
