96 points Robert Parker: "I obviously underestimated the awesome 2007 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes last year when I gave it an estimated rating of (90-93). Its saturated plum/purple color is followed by aromas of incense, spring flowers, blueberries, boysenberries, kirsch, licorice, and smoked meats. Seriously packed and stacked, this full-bodied wine possesses splendid concentration, superb purity, and a finish that lasts nearly a full minute. This is indeed a 'wow' Châteauneuf-du-Pape that is approachable now (because of the wonderful sweetness of the fruit and aromatic intensity), and should age beautifully for two decades."
