The Sesta di Sopra nose is always a reflection of their vineyard and it yields spicy, complex, wild cherry fruit, with hints of sage, leather that arch out of the glass but never aggressive just exuberant. On the palate the wine shows more plum, grilled meats, soy sauce, rosemary and sweet leather gradually forming its linear character. Upon your palate the wine gradually expands exposing layers of mineral, more spice and begins to layer itself upon your tongue.The finish is full, long and persistent ending in a harmony of wild herbs and plums. This wine will be able to be drunk now with a couple of hours in a decanter but will continue to improve easily for another decade plus." Due 09/09.
