According to the Wine Spectator: "Delicate melon and mineral character on the nose. Medium-bodied, with crisp lemon and white pepper flavors and a fresh finish. Drink now." (04/07) "Nicely balanced and more complex than most renditions, this classy Prosecco was splendid by itself and delicious with the sushi. The wine's inherent hint of sweetness proved a boon to the salty soy sauce, while its steely finish kept everything in gustatory equilibrium." (Paul Lukacs and Marguerite Thomas, Wine Review Online, 01/06) This is an excellent Prosecco from the Valdobbiadene DOC, the classic growing area for Prosecco in Italy. This isn't some IGT knockoff. Great balance, distinct aromatics, wonderful mousse and a long finish are all hallmarks of this stellar buy. Once again, nervous wholesalers unsure of the market in the new year are looking to unload inventory for your benefit. Enjoy! (Greg St.Clair, K&L Italian Wine buyer)
