94 points Robert Parker for this monster Shiraz from 140-year-old vines! "The stunning 2003 Shiraz Barossa Babe (100% Shiraz) is a big, thick, quintessential Barossa Shiraz offering notes of licorice, toasty new oak, blackberry jam, chocolate, and spice box. Offering oodles of glycerin and power (16.6% alcohol) as well as a long, 40+ second finish, this heady cuvee is produced primarily from a 140-year-old vineyard. It should drink well for 15 or more years. (10/06)" This also got 4/5 stars from Decanter: "Ripe, attractive. Beautiful taste. Nicely evolved, toasty caramel flavours. Quite sweet but wtih fresh, attractive acidity to leave a great aftertaste. Drink 2010-18" If you are a fan of big, full bodied wines that are huge in fruit, but not overly sweet, the Rockbare Shiraz is a great choice. This wine is big, thick and rich, but still has quite a bit of structure. Showing good now with some bottle age, but no rush on this one. (Trey Beffa, K&L Wine Merchants)
