Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Medium green-yellow. Initially closed nose reveals refreshing apricot, dill and tobacco with aeration. Juicy, fully ripe apricot fruit is wrapped around a finely chiseled acid structure. Dill and a smoky element flavor the very long, tactile finish. An excellent wine for the dinner table. Drink now to 2022

Wine Enthusiast
*Cellar Selection* A full-bodied, mouth-filling wine that bursts with melon, peach, peppery pear skin and nutmeg flavors. It is ripe, rich, a fruit salad whose final freshness and acidity suggest aging for 3–5 years.

Wine & Spirits
This wine is lively and stony, showing a lot of energy and tension under the citrus and nectarine fruit. While it has plenty of ripeness and depth, it balances its richness so well that the overall impression is one of racy finesse rather than power.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Hogl’s 2007 Gruner Veltliner Smaragd Schon is as effusively ripe and unusual as last year’s rendition. Smelling of banana and persimmon, its opulent, full-fruited, palate-coating flavors include brown spices and mocha-coffee...This oily, creamy, rich Veltliner suggests flavors I associate more with some maturity, so I wonder whether it will not be best enjoyed within the next 2-3 years.

Fresh flavors of Golden Delicious apple, spice and pear fill this crisp white, with slate and pepper notes on the finish. Drink now through 2012.
