93 points from Wine Spectator: "Firm tannins frame black cherry, mineral, licorice and herbal notes in this chewy red. Well-proportioned, with lively acidity and a lovely floral finish. Tannic now, but the fruit should emerge with age. Best from 2011 through 2017." (06/09) Reaching a high point in 2004 with 98 points in the Wine Advocate, it should be interesting to see how this 2006 - a more aromatically expressive, fresher tasting vintage compared to the '05 - fares versus the annointed, long gone 2004. 100% Tinto del Pais (Tempranillo). This one will not languish on the shelves for long. Tremendous power, along with finesse and elegance.
