Bruno Michel "Blanche" Brut Champagne (1.5L)

SKU #1041694

This fantastic Champagne comes from the villages of Pierry and Moussy. Bruno Michel has been organic since 1999 and five of his 37.5 acres are farmed biodynamically. This Champagne is composed of 53% Meunier and 47% Chardonnay, 70% from the 2006 harvest, 14% from the 2005 harvest and 16% from 2004. and is one of the most balanced Champagnes in our stock, with an effortless quality that is almost impossible to describe or resist. It has great toast and spiced apple aromas and flavors and a crisp dry finish. It spent six years on the lees before it was dosed at a very light nine grams per liter. Even better out of magnum! Less oxygen in contact with the wine in bottle makes for a Champagne with increased intensity and a magnified expression, not to mention longer life! If you love the 750 ml version then you will be floored by how incredible this shows out of the larger format. Its distinctive fruit and brioche aromas and flavors take on added dimension, and everything about the wine - mouthfeel, palate impression, finish - is more expansive and lingering. If you plan to be sharing Champagne with more than three people, a magnum like this is the way to go.
