Tamás Vineyard (saint tä-määsh) is on a stony hill of reddish clay and volcanic rocks sloping southwest and overlooking Royal Tokaji's cellars in Mád, Hungary. The vines are currently 15-28 years old, however, the older vines will soon be taken out to make room for a single 4-hectare (10 acre) plot planted to carefully selected clones. Wines produced from grapes grown in the Szt. Tamás Vineyard are some of the richest and most flavorful wines from this area. 60% Furmint, 20% Muscat, 20% Harslevelu.
