K&L Notes

For Champagne lovers the name Gruet is likely familiar, but this domaine's outpost near Truth or Consequence, New Mexico, which was first planted back in 1984, still doesn't get the attention it deserves. This Brut sparkling is bottled fermented for a minimum of two years before release. Gruet is producing tasty, approachable and ultra-affordable sparkling wines perfect for parties or to start off the evening. Truth is, you can't afford not to try this.

United States

- When people consider domestic wine, they normally think about the state of California. The fine viticultural Region within California, including the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Cruz Mountains, Mendocino and Santa Barbara, are capable of growing grapes of world-class quality. But there's plenty of fabulous wine coming from other states, too. Oregon, Washington and New York are also causing eyebrows (and glassware) to be raised around the world.
