Evidence of a very Down Under twist of fate, this wine is anything but evil. What could be nicer than top-rate Cabernet fruit from some of South Australia’s best regions made into a voluptuous wine by Chris Ringland and, it's all wrapped into an edgy package at a steal of a price? Evil is: 100 % Cabernet from 10 to 30 year old vines. Fruit came from three distinctly different regions: 38% McLaren Vale, 37% Barossa, 25% Pyrenees. Grab this wine before the big review comes in (like it received last vintage), or suffer the Evil feelings of knowing you missed out on one of the year's great bargains. Acording to Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Spicy aromas of dark cherry, redcurrant, mint and tobacco. Juicy and gently sweet, with a soft texture to the ripe cherry and plum flavors. Offers good easygoing appeal, decent finishing clarity and sweet persistence." (Sept/Oct '09)
