90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Even tasted blind, this excellent Cab's smooth, velvety-clay feel says 'Coonawarra.' It's a restrained, balanced wine with pencil eraser and red plum fruit flavors, and cherry brightening the finish; even still, it's the texture you'll remember." (12/04) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar listed this wine at $23 and had this to say on its behalf: "Medium ruby. Varietally accurate scents of cassis, cherry skin, licorice, hot asphalt, cigar box, eucalyptus and peppermint. Firm, tangy and tightly structured, with redcurrant and fennel notes on the palate." According to the Wine Spectator: "Supple and appealing for its gentle balance, with fine tannins surrounding ripe currant and dusky, earthy overtones, finishing with just a touch of sweet vanilla from oak. Drink now through 2008." (09/04)
