According to Robert Parker: "Displaying exotic notes of orange rind and white peaches, the 2006 Chardonnay Big Paw offers good minerality, crisp acidity, and a tart finish." (08/07) In a later review for the Hedonist Gazette Parker gave this 92 points and wrote: "The Chardonnays that stood out were all from the Santa Barabara region. Ambullneo’s 2006 Chardonnay Big Paws showed crisp, lemony, white currants and honeyed citrus in a restrained, refreshing, Burgundian-style. It’s made in California, yet it out-classed all the dead Burgundies. It also kept the oak under control, something the Chevalier-Montrachet from Leroy did not." (12/08)
