According to the Wine Spectator: "Delivers mineral, licorice and ripe fruit. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a medium finish of mineral and spice. Clean and crisp. The best ever from this producer. Best after 2008." (Web 08) The 2005 vintage was exceptional across the board, possibly the finest since 1982. Conisistent at every level, the Paloumey offers an accessible young Bordeaux with plenty of concentration and tannic structure to let it evolve for a decade or more. Wine Spectator loved it for its fresh plum and berry characterisitcs.
