The 2004 Rubicon Estate Cabernet Franc is smells a bit like what summertime in Virginia might smell like—tobacco leaf and forest floor with bright Bing cherry and oaky spice. On the palate, it's soft and supple, with lots of dark, ripe red fruit and elegant tannins. Drinking lovely now, this should continue to gain complexity in the bottle over the next 5-10 years.
