This elegant, though still relatively tightly wound, cabernet sauvignon from Napa's Stag's Leap District recalls crimson leather chairs, cracked with age and fine cigars. Ripe red and black cherries marry with the hints of tobacco and mocha for a decadent nose. Secondary aromas of clove, brown sugar and more dark fruit are revealed with a little airhinting at the complexity a little aging will bring. Cassis and black cherry are framed by well-integrated tannins and a mid-palate with substantial weight. Decant for near-term drinking or cellar for 5-7 years.
