This is the newest from Dan Standish and Jaysen Collins of Massena. Epsilon, the fifth star of the Southern Cross constellation, is a great example of how a background star can come to the fore. With fruit that contributed to an intra-regional blend, fifth generation Barossa grape-growers Aaron and Julie Southern were inspired to make a wine that would reflect their Shiraz vineyard in Greenock. Aged in French oak barrels, this wine is a true representation of the vineyard, which drinks well on release and will benefit from short to medium term cellaring. Robert Parker scored the last vintage 94 points, describing it as having: "abundant aromas of raspberries, blueberries, graphite, and spice box, and a full-bodied, rich, fleshy style."
