We have carried this wine for more than 10 years and this 2005 does not disappoint. Very lively and fresh with tons of sweet red fruits on the palate. Decant one hour and enjoy its somky, toasty tobacco aroma. Semi New Wave, but Clyde loves its fruit-forward sensation. Robert Parker scores it 90 points and says: "Owned by Bernard Magrez’s son, this cuvee is made in consultation with Michel Rolland and the Magrez winemaker, Jean Cordeau. The sensational 2005 is the finest Plaisance ever made. Broad, savory, black currant and cherry flavors intermixed with subtle notes of roasted herbs, licorice, and spice box are copious as well as intense. This is a round, generous, opulent effort from a low level pedigree that transcends its category by a considerable margin. Drink it over the next 5-6 years."
