2006 whites from Bordeaux are fabulous. Solid, spicy, clean, refreshing wine. According to Robert Parker: "Thanks to the talented oenological team of Denis Dubourdieu and his assistant, Christophe Olivier, Roquefort is generally one of the most interesting generic white Bordeaux." 80% Sauvignon Blanc (the base of the wine is zippy and herbaceous and has brisk acidity), 20% Semillon (for body and structure). Hand picked and fermented at low temperature in stainless steel vats, this wine is crisp and super focused on the palate showing minerals and earth with lemon, lime and refreshing gooseberry flavors.
